If your door weighs 250 pounds, you need 1 PAIR of 250# pull springs
All springs from 200 to 300 Pound Pull have CLIP ends as pictured
These are extension springs that are mounted above the horizontal garage door tracks running from front to back of the garage door.

27″ long with 48 inches of stretch.
27″ long is industry standard for 8′ tall garage doors – these are the only length extension springs currently being manufactured.  If the existing springs are not 27″ long – if you have the correct weight (pull) and door height springs, the balance will be correct.
